Isophoronediamine (IPDA) (cis- and trans- mixture) (CAS: 2855-13-2) has the characteristics of good compatibility with epoxy resin, heat curing, stable color, good chemical resistance, and small shrinkage. It is widely used as modified curing agent, polyurethane chain extender, and accelerator.
IPDA can be used in all common amine reactions. Under certain conditions, IPDA is especially suitable for reaction with carboxylic acids, carbyl chloride, aldehydes, ketones and epoxides. IPDA can be mixed with a large number of compounds such as water, alcohols, esters, ethers, and aliphatic, aromatic, and halogenated hydrocarbons in any proportion at room temperature.
IPDA is an important curing agent raw material, mainly used in wind power, epoxy floor, jewelry glue and so on.
IPDA mainly used as epoxy curing agents, mainly for applications requiring low color, low odor, high flexural strength and excellent chemical resistance of epoxy formulations. Suitable for floor coatings, fillers and paving mixes. Used to make other chemicals.
